Dr. John O. Green II, DDS

Endodontist

Dr. Green is passionate about helping individuals save their teeth! He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery; the first dental school in the world. During dental school, Dr. Green was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. Dr. Green’s military service took him several places around the country and abroad including tours in Egypt, Korea, and Germany. Dr. Green completed endodontic residency training at Fort Liberty, North Carolina in 2013 and he later became board certified; a distinction held by only one in four practicing endodontists. He continues to serve our country as a member of the US Army Reserves. Dr. Green and his team combine the latest modern technology with southern hospitality to provide high level endodontic care in a comfortable and relaxing environment. Dr. Green is active with the North Georgia Dental Society, the Georgia Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists. In addition to saving teeth, Dr. Green enjoys CrossFit, spending time with his family, travel, and Florida Gators football.

Dr. Kurt B. Goodell, DDS, MS

Associate Endodontist

Dr. Kurt Goodell is currently the Assistant Program Director of the Army Endodontic Residency Program at Fort Eisenhower. He graduated from West Point in 2006 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He attended Dental School at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, graduating as the valedictorian in 2012. He attended endodontic residency at Fort Liberty, NC earning his certificate in endodontics in 2017. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a published author in the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Goodell and his wife Kristin have 5 children. In his free time, he enjoys house projects, wood working, and assistant coaching for his children’s youth sports.

Dr. J. Kevin Goertermiller, DDS

Associate Endodontist

Dr. J. Kevin Goertemiller graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1992 and served on Active Duty in the U.S. Army for over 28 years. The first several years of service were as an Army Aviator where he flew Scout and Blackhawk helicopters throughout the U.S. and overseas. Dr. Goertemiller attended dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 2009. He returned to Active Duty in the Army, and was a Resident in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He then deployed to Afghanistan, where he served as an Army General Dentist. Upon his return, he attended the Army Endodontic Residency at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. He is also board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Goertemiller retired from the military in 2024 at the rank of Colonel and joined the team at West GA Endodontics. He and his wife, Ashley, have five children, and enjoy spending time with family in the Chattanooga area.
